Children's Plein Air Art Competition

artREGEN and Amgueddfa Torfaen Museum are delighted to invite young artists to take part in a free children's painting competition in the courtyard of the museum, Pontypool, on Saturday 27th June 2026 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm.

Children aged 15 and under are welcome to enter and create their artwork on site. Throughout the event, artREGEN's resident artist, Mary James, will be available to offer advice and assistance to participants if required.

The competition will be judged on Sunday 28th June 2026. Winners will be announced via social media.

All paintings will be exhibited in the museum for two months following the competition. A selection of artworks will then be chosen for a further exhbition in the Folly Tower.

We look forward to welcoming young artists and their families for an afternoon of creativity and fun.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
